When David Pendergast, the new principal at Lincoln Elementary for the 2025-26 school year, arrived at Lincoln Elementary over the summer, he realized the school's name was hard to spot from the street. The school, being located off Antelope Drive, has high visibility to both students, families, and community members. With thousands passing by each day, he wanted everyone passing to know Lincoln Elementary is there!
"When I first came here to Lincoln ELementary, and I was walking around the school grounds, I was looking for the sign that said, "Lincoln Elementary" -- and then I found it down there. Just really small letters." Pendergast concluded by saying, "We have all these windows. Let's put up window wrapping on our windows, and let's tell the world that we are Lincoln Elementary, home of the Lynx."
When passing by now, the school's name, colors, and mascot shine proudly for all to see.
