legacy of liberty wall

Lincoln Elementary proudly unveiled its new Legacy of Liberty wall today, a striking piece of artwork designed to inspire students with the values and history that form the foundation of the United States.

The unveiling was attended by Davis Education Board Member Michelle Barber, along with Lincoln’s own Lynx mascot, who joined students and staff in celebrating the occasion. Principal Mr. Pendergast addressed the student body, sharing the significance of the installation and the lasting message it brings to the school community.

Created through the national Legacy of Liberty initiative (legacyofliberty.com), the wall features vivid imagery, storytelling elements, and historical references that connect students to the principles of freedom, unity, and responsibility.

“Students, our country began as an experiment, as you walk through the hall each day and see this artwork, remember how special our country is,” said Principal Pendergast to the excited 5th grade student body as they looked on at the beautiful art-covered hallway. Students then led a song celebrating our country.

The installation aligns with Lincoln Elementary’s commitment to providing meaningful learning experiences beyond the classroom. The Legacy of Liberty wall will serve as both inspiration and education, reinforcing patriotism and civic responsibility for years to come.
